This is Miles Edgeworth, Lead Investigator of City Private Investigations and I need assistance immediately. I'll provide details as soon as I am contacted and my location is [location encrypted and given here]-- there has been a murder. The victim is a female, cause of death is visibly assault-- and I will be able to provide complete details as soon as we have the police on the scene as well as be available for any necessary questioning. I apologize, but due to the nature of this discovery, I've informed my assistant investigators to seal off the area to get here as well, should you require any further assistance.

The scene of the crime as well as the victim's body is undisturbed. Please hurry.

It was pleasant to see things return to normal, and everyone seemed to have quite a blast at the Café during the Christmas days. It seems as though our celebration specials are a hit.

( Even that hyperactive young man seemed to brighten up the place with his actions. Now that Maya has gone... )

As much as everyone has made this holiday, and the days before it quite very memorable... I find myself further disconnected. The chance to see the future was an eye-opener... and perhaps there are some to who I will owe an apology, should I ever return home.

Happy Holidays, to everyone. Turnabout Café will remain open through New Year's, but those who wish to spend time with friends and family then are free to take a short leave. And of course, City Private Investigation Agency is open always, should any emergencies come up.

The café has served well as a sanctuary for the last few days while this infestation has swarmed the City. It's rather tasteless to see that newcomers are still being permitted in, where they could be so very easily targeted by predators.

( It's distressing how normal all of this has become to me. )

All the employees at the Agency and Café who have been helping people, you have my thanks. Miss Woodhouse, I should hope you have been able to settle into safer quarters now. ( This can't last forever, after all. )

Those who need the assistance, Edgeworth & Co. Private Investigations & Turnabout Café are going to be sanctuaries from the infected until further notice. Most of our employees have been able to do a splendid job and I will not let anyone be harmed. ( I'm sorry that I can show no mercy, but if the innocent are to be protected, the law alone shan't do it. )

Please stay safe, all of you. It'll end soon, I am certain of it. Even the deities can't keep this up for too long.

[ Edgeworth is working on his laptop, finally having found a place outside the café that hasn't been affected by mistletoe. Or so he thinks. After his adventure with Phoenix, he's just waiting for his friend-- and of course, occasionally he does want to get a drink of tea.

It ended days ago. Marshall's case, Darke's conviction. It all ended and I had done what I wanted to do. Detective Skye's sister's testimony was more than useful in it, yet there are doubts.

I can see them, hear their whispers, their accusatory looks. Forged, they say. Evidence is absolute. I did what any prosecutor-- what Marshall himself would have done. I brought that criminal to justice. That's all I have done, no more, no less.

Yet for all I have done, they are out to make my actions evil when it is they. Those criminals, tarnishing the name of the law... what have I done except follow the truth shown to me by the evidence I was given?

~~Though I too, perhaps, wonder if justice was truly served. By someone like me, someone who...~~ And Marshall. ~~I can't forget... You were too foolish, Neil Marshall. Too brave, too good.~~ This would be his victory. Would they have done the same for him?

It was a case won. The guilty verdict was absolute.

Dear Santa, ( G-Grrk?! Why the devil am I-- backspace!! Why isn't it erasing!? )

I believe I've been patient and extremely tolerant this year. Where others have gained, I have not envied or complained. I believe it might be alright to have a few small wishes, even if they are impossible, wouldn't it?

If I could have them, I would willingly ask;

- To have my dog, Pess, with me to give me company.
- My younger sister, Franziska, to have some way of getting those Belgian chocolates she's so fond of or she'll be angry until New Year's or more now that I'm stuck here
- Gumshoe to get a small bonus for Christmas, he didn't seem to have enough when I last saw him.
- To go home for good and fix things with Wright. I detest this City but it seems the more I yearn to leave, the more it refuses to let me return.
- ...to be able to forgive and protect the friends I have here.

For once it almost felt like home. And to have been able to see Franziska again... It's somewhat relieving at the same time. To know that she is safe and well back home. I shan't comment on those who did arrive ( I'd like to forget that Larry was ever here... ) but I can't say that that curse was unpleasant at all.

Thanksgiving is a rather private event for me usually, but to have been able to have spent it here at all brings to mind the amount of time I have been here. It'll be close to the end of a complete year very soon. ( Am I never to be allowed to return...? ) For all those I have managed to meet here, I am grateful, regardless.

( Yet there isn't a moment that I don't wish to return to my own home, in my own world. For all that this place has given me, the burdens it has created may weigh on me for a long time to come... )

Turnabout Café will be serving Thanksgiving Specials through the weekend. I'll be at the Agency through this time if I am needed, however. It seems as though the City requires our aid yet again.

I suppose it's a good time as any. Turnabout Café is just about completed and is now hiring. The positions we are looking for are:

- Waiters/Waitresses
- Bussers
- Kitchen Staff

Mr. Armando has done a great deal of work in making sure everything is perfect, and we both shall be interviewing those who are interested in working for us. I do hope that it will run well enough, though I do not doubt our service shall be the best.

Mr. Armando's skill with coffee is quite possibly unrivaled, but I also intend to make sure that the tea served at Turnabout shall be unmatched. ( It's quite interesting to see how the name of the place has fit with the theme we were going for... )

Our official opening is on the first of November. I hope the City shall enjoy what we have to offer.

Edgeworth & Co. Private Investigation Agency is also looking for a Secretary, as well as trainee investigators and interns. I am also providing assistance for law students, and I hope this shall provide a good career opportunity for those aspiring to go into law.

What an incredibly busy day this has turned out to be...

A turn of season, is it? These nights have been rather quiet. It appears that Prosecutor Gavin and Miss Trucy Wright have returned home, as well. It's probably safer for them there now.

Things are beginning to look rather busy now... I wonder, if any other business here seems to get a terrible amount of fans. One would think that a private investigation agency would be the last place people would come to look for dates. Such deprivation is rather alarming to think on.
